Giving

At Cornerstone Life Church we believe in the power of
generosity, what it does for the individual doing the giving, and
for the purpose that the giving supports.

It feels good to give generously – it really does. A Christian
who doesn’t understand that has never given generously. It is
a proven fact that, the happiest people are the most giving
people.

At Cornerstone you will never be made to fill guilty as a means
to motivates you to give. The reason behind this is that, giving
that is motivated by guilt only lasts as long as the guilt does.

Instead we use JOY to motivate people to give.
2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each of you should give what you have
decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a JOYFUL giver.”

At Cornerstone we absolutely do not accept the HEALTH and
WEALTH theology, which teaches that God wants everybody to
be rich. But the fact is, there are more promises in the Bible
related to giving than any other subject. So, with this in mind I
believe that it is important to remember that you cannot out-
give God.
If you’re going to be Christlike, you’ve got to learn to give
